Orthopaedic Research Institute

Between 2015 – 2018 BK provided bid support to Bournemouth University’s Orthopaedic Research Institute to help win £1.6M. This bid support work was funded by the Wessex Academic Health Science Network and developed in partnership with the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership. 

We supported the drafting of two successful European Regional Development Fund bids

Results of our work:

This funding has helped ORI to produce high quality research and academic outputs to advance the fields of orthopaedic surgery, related diseases, treatments and devices. Based on this research, they are working to improve patient outcomes within the local region by engaging with wider industry (such as Zimmer Biomet and Stryker), clinicians, patients and the public, and involving them in our research, education and professional practice activities. On a national scale, ORI works to influence changes to policy, standards, treatment guidelines and patient expectations through the dissemination of their research.
